CALLING AND COMMITMENT
The calling for us, as individuals and as a group is to so abide in Christ and He in us and among us, that we experience and make known His transforming love through our commitment to:
A way of life marked by simplicity, gentleness and self denial.
A quality of our common life and out inter-personal relationships.
Love and care for his children and all creation.
The FISH -
the centrality of our Christian identity.
The RED CROSS -
the significance of health and holistic healing.
The BOW & ARROW -
the socio-cultural context of a tribal area.
Asha Kiran Society was started as a dream in the hearts of young men while they were doing medicine in their medical schools. They dreamt that they could make a difference in the lives of poor people by meeting their health needs in the love of Christ and in the spirit of Christian service. To this end they were committed to starting a work in a remote and needy area which had limited or no medical facilities.
